SECRETS OF THE BRITISH SEX COMEDY: TRUE CONFESSIONS: A two-part look at 1970s British sex comedies, such as Adventures of a Taxi Driver and Come Play with Me, which arguably saved the British film industry from financial ruin with their successful mix of double-entendres and adult content. In this episode, trouser-dropping leading man Robin Asquith reveals how Confessions of a Window Cleaner became the most successful home-grown movie of 1974, inspiring dozens of copycat titles and making his backside the most famous in British history. DO GOODERS: This new workplace comedy from stand-up Garrett Millerick is set behind the scenes of fictional mid-level, none-too-sexy charity, The Alzheimers Alliance. It features a host of familiar comedy names, too, including Cold Feet’s Fay Ripley, Mum’s Lisa McGrillis and comedians Frank Skinner, Ahir Shah and Ania Magliano.Radio 4, 6.30pm.

JOSH WIDDICOMBE: BIT MUCH: Recorded live at The London Palladium, this stand-up special tackles all the big topics, such as advent calendars, weddings and the closing time of his local park. Sky Comedy, 9.30pm

DESMOND'S All six series of the ground-breaking comedy set in Peckham, South London, arrive on streaming service U, although it's long been available on Channel 4's catch-up service. The show, which originally ran from 1989 to 1994, features a predominantly black British Guyanese cast with Norman Beaton as barber Desmond Ambrose, whose shop is a gathering place for an assortment of local characters including Porkpie (Ram John Holder) and perpetual student Matthew (Gyearbuor Asante).
