Sky unveils new slate including Stewart Lee, Lucy Beaumont and David Baddiel

Sky is to air a raft of stand-up specials from the likes of Stewart Lee, John Kearns and David Baddiel.

A number of the shows – including Baddiel’s Not The… trilogy – were recorded by production company Avalon at London’s Royal Court Theatre earlier this year.

The full list is as follows:

  • David Baddiel: Not The… Trilogy
  • Lucy Beaumont: Live from the Royal Court Theatre
  • Tom Davis: Underdog
  • John Kearns: The Varnishing Days
  • Stewart Lee: Basic Lee (Live from the Lowry)
  • Chris Ramsey: Live from London

These are the first ever televised specials for Beaumont, Davis and Kearns.

They are among several comedy entertainment shows announced by Sky today, including a new travelogue from Joe Lycett.

Comic Maisie Adam will be joining Jill Scott, Micah Richards and Jamie Redknapp to compete in an epic rally from London to Turin in a League Of Their Own adventure series.

And Rob & Romesh Vs returns for a seventh series this summer with Beckett and Ranganathan exploring the worlds of UFC , heavy metal, wildlife  photography, Hollywood stunts and darts.

Phil Edgar-Jones, Sky’s director of arts and entertainment, said: ‘We’re proud to bring you the laughs on Sky Max with a Who’s Who of brilliant British comedy talent. In a stressful world, we need all the laughter we can get.'

All the programmes will be broadcast later this year – exact dates to be confirmed – and also streamed on Now TV.
