GUILDFORD: Ashley Blaker starts a new tour of his stand-up show Normal Schmormal, about parenting six children, three of whom have special educational needs. It's a topic he's previously mined in his Radio 4 show 6.5 Children and his book, also called Normal Schmormal. The stand-up show premiered at last year's Edinburgh Fringe and had the first leg of its tour in the autumn. Blaker has said: ‘Being a parent is tough and raising kids with special needs is even tougher. That’s why I am delighted to share our story with people and hopefully provide some much-needed light relief. LONDON: The Bloomsbury Theatre again hosts the final of the Musical Comedy Awards, the capital's third talent hunt final this week. Competing for the title this year are: Tom Towelling, Anna Hale, Emily Cairns, Jim Midge, Sang Don Park, Frank Friendzione, Amelia Bayler, Alex Camp, Baron Fortitude, Ben Pollard, Ash Weir and Lila Robirosa. The evening will also feature sets from 2024 best newcomers, The Queens of Cups and Fjord, the Norwegian electronic music pioneers, played by the Giants double act of Will Hislop and Barney Fishwick.
