Revealed: Who's in Taskmaster’s New Year Treat 2024
The contestants have been announced for the next Taskmaster’s New Year Treat.
And it includes the show’s first teenage contestant – 14-year-old star of Am I Being Unreasonable Lenny Rush – ahead of the launch of Junior Taskmaster next year, fronted by Rose Matafeo and Mike Wozniak.
The full list of those taking part in the one-off special are:
- Deborah Meaden, the entrepreneur and star of Dragon’s Den
- Kojey Radical, Mercury Prize and Mobo award-nominated music artist
- Lenny Rush, 14-year-old star of Am I Being Unreasonable and Dodger
- Steve Backshall, TV presenter, adventurer, author and wildlife expert
- Zoe Ball, radio and television presenter
As usual, the cast is drawn from a wider pool of celebrities beyond the comedians who normally take part. They will be competing for Greg Davies’s ‘Trophy of Eyebrows’ – with tasks set, as always, by Alex Horne.
The line-up was announced tonight as series 16 of the show - featuring Julian Clary, Lucy Beaumont, Sam Campbell, Sue Perkins and Susan Wokoma – drew to an end. To avoid spoilers, we won’t reveal who won.
Broadcast details for the New Year Treat have yet to be announced but for the past four years Channel 4 has broadcast it on January 1. Previous winners have been Strictly’s Shirley Ballas, TV presenter Adrian Chiles and Olympian Mo Farah.
