About weird flavour combinations

Fern Brady is launching a new food-based comedy podcast.

In What a Combo! the comedian will ask celebrity guests to share the weird concoctions they eat when no one is watching - which they will then sample.

It is being made with Twisted, a media and food marketing company that specialises in such odd combinations, with a range at Iceland that includes lasagne-filled Yorkshire puddings.

Suggestions in the first series, which launches on Thursdaym, include watermelon and mustard; apple pie and cheddar cheese; banana pizza; ice cream and chilli crisp; biryani and chocolate sauce; garlic bread and orange juice

Guests include comics Tim Key, Sindhu Vee, Ivo Graham and Jamali Maddix, YouTuber Abi Clarke and Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain.

Video episodes will be on the Twisted YouTube channel, with audio episodes available via the usual podcast providers.

News of the launch comes after James Acaster and Ed Gamble’s food-based Off Menu was named the third most listened-to podcast in the UK.
