Viggo Venn wins Britain’s Got Talent

'I feel extremely visible right now'

Viggo Venn has been crowned winner of Britain’s Got Talent.

The Norwegian comic became the first act to win who was buzzed off in their audition, after apparently irritating Simon Cowell with his repetitive dance-based routine based around Daft Punk’s One More Time.

And in the final, the judge was invited on stage to be part of Venn’s performance – to be presented with the hi-viz jacked that has become his trademark.

The cameras then panned out to show the full audience in the outfits:

After being crowned winner, Venn joked: ‘I feel extremely visible right now. Thank you so much.

Venn made the final three with  Lillianna Clifton and Cillian O’Connor – but not everyone was happy with the viewers’ vote that crowned him winner, and boos could be heard in the audience as he was interviewed by Ant and Dec after his victory.

He ignored them to say: ‘Thank you so much everyone who voted for me’,  before shouting ‘you want more’  and performing his trademark move: ripping off a high-vis jacket to reveal another underneath.

Judge Alesha Dixon said Venn ‘captivated the nation’ and Bruno Tonioli added that he had ‘created one of the most memorable characters since Mr Bean’.

He will now perform at the Royal Variety Show as well as taking home the  £250,000 prize.
