Thursday June 8
MAN LIKE MOBEEN: Guz Khan’s comedy returns to BBC Three and iPlayer more than three years after it last aired. The new series is set in Belmarsh, where the title character is now incarcerated - but is just weeks away from finishing his sentence... if he can keep out of trouble Tolu Ogunmefun, Dúaa Karim, Perry Fitzpatrick and Mark Silcox all return to the cast while Youssef Kerkour joins the cast as a prison kinpin. SIGNIFICANT OTHER: Youssef Kerkour stars in his second new comedy of the day. He and Katherine Parkinson are the leads of this new rom-com being streamed on ITVX from today. They play two lonely neighbours who embark on a hesitant, obstacle-filled relationship at a time when life has not been kind to them. The cast also includes Kelle Bryan, Mark Heap, Ben Bailey Smith, Sue Vincent and Shaun Williamson. The two stars talk about the show here.
THE MINDY PROJECT: Also new to ITVX today are all six series of Mindy Kaling's sitcom, in which she plays a medic trying to balance her hectic and demanding job with her tumultuous personal life.
Friday June 9
CALL JONATHAN PIE: Acerbic journalist Jonathan Pie gets his own phone-in show and this sitcom, released as a BBC Sounds box set today, listens in to the on-air calls and takes us behind the scenes. It’s 'satirical, funny and sweary,' the BBC says. Tom Walker, who performs the title character, stars alongside Lucy Pearman, Nick Revell, Aqib Khan and Daniel Abelson.
HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU? Harry Hill guest hosts for the first time with panellists Jack Dee and Zing Tsjeng, editor in chief of Vice UK. BBC One, 9pm
