Always Sunny In Philadelphia crosses the Atlantic

Spin-off podcast to record in London and Dublin

The creators and stars of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia are to perform their first live shows in the UK and Ireland

Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Glenn Howerton are to perform two live versions of their Always Sunny Podcast at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Sunday April 16. The following night they will play Dublin’s 8,000-capacity 3Arena.

Co-hosted by Sunny writer Megan Ganz, the show promises ‘stories, laughs, and reflections on 20 years of making the hit series.’

The podcast – which takes an episode-by-episode look at the 15 seasons of the hit show – has previously staged live versions in the US.

Day has said of the live shows: 'I guess it’s a new medium in a way, right? It’s not stand-up comedy. It’s not a play. It’s not a rock show. So what is it? We’re finding that out as we go. It’s a wonderful opportunity to entertain.’

Last year, McElhenney, Day, and Howerton  launched their own Irish whiskey, Four Walls, while McElhenney has connections to the UK as co-owner of Wrexham AFC with Ryan Reynolds.

Tickets to the Always Sunny Podcast live shows go on general sale at 10am on Friday.

Lou Sanders  has just returned with a sixth series of her interview podcast Cuddle Club, after a seven-month break, kicking off with a Valentine’s special with guest John Robins.
