Both stand in for holidaying regulars

Ellie Taylor and Joel Dommett will both hots their own Radio 2 shows next week.

Taylor will be sitting in for Sara Cox on Monday and Tuesday, presenting the early evening show from 6.30pm.

She said: ‘It’s a real pinch-me moment to say that I’ll be presenting shows on my favourite radio station, broadcasting to millions of listeners whilst playing some of the best music in the world. I cannot wait to get behind that iconic Radio 2 microphone and overshare with the nation.’ 

Taylor has previously fronted comedy shows on Radio 4 and a relationship-based show on Heart. She is known for playing Sassy in Ted Lasso, is the co-host of Bake Off: The Professionals, and has taken part in Celebrity Gladiators and Strictly Come Dancing.

Meanwhile, Masked Singer host Dommett will sit in for Romesh Ranganathan next Saturday on his 10am to 1pm show.

He said: 'Mummy look! I’m a Radio 2 presenter. Huge thank you to Romesh for letting me stand in. He used to be a teacher so I’m essentially a supply for the day. Hopefully the class will behave and I’ll be invited back.'
