Comedians to tackle the world's most dangerous roads

Format revived after a decade

TV channel Dave has revived The World's Most Dangerous Roads with comedians including Ed Gamble, Lou Sanders and  Phil Wang taking on the driving challenges.

The eight new episodes will be the first in a decade, with the three previous series having aired on BBC Two.

Those taking part in the new season have now been revealed by the British Comedy Guide.

They are:

  • Derry Girls stars Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Jamie-Lee O'Donnell in Romania
  • Ed Gamble and Lou Sanders  in Iceland
  •  Joe Wilkinson and Zoe Lyons in Turkey
  • Suzi Ruffell and Maisie Adam in Morocco
  • Darren Harriott and Ria Lina in South Africa
  • Phil Wang and Pierre Novellie in Lesotho
  • Lara Ricote and Stephen Mangan in Australia
  • Will Mellor and Leigh Francis in character as Keith Lemon in Albania.

The new series is made by Renegade Pictures – which also paired Gamble and Sanders in Outsiders, pictured – and will air in the new year.

Those who took part in the BBC Two series included Greg Davies and Rhod Gilbert driving in Nepal, Ed Byrne and Andy Parsons in Siberia and Phill Jupitus and Marcus Brigstocke in Bolivia.
