Josh Pugh to make his Mock The Week debut
Josh Pugh is to make his Mock The Week debut when the panel show makes its delayed return on September 23.
The show had been due back for the first in its final run of episodes this week, but is one of many comedy programmes that have been bounced from the schedules in the wake of the Queen’s death.
Dara O Briain will now present five more regular episodes, followed by two specials looking back over the 17 years the series has been running.
Pugh – who was nominated for Dave’s Edinburgh Comedy Award last month – appeared on Richard Ayoade’s Question Team this week, while his previous TV credits include Comedy Central Live and Hypothetical
Joining him on the next MockThe Week are Angela Barnes and Rhys James who will be making their 34th and 29th appearances respectively, Alasdair Beckett-King and Ria Lina, both making their fourth appearances, and series regular Hugh Dennis.
Other comedians also confirmed to appear across the series include James Acaster, Ed Byrne, Ahir Shah, Nish Kumar, Laura Lexx, Jen Brister, Glenn Moore, Zoe Lyons and Sean McLoughlin.
