Filming starts on C4's new comedy Entitled
Filming has begun on Channel 4’s new comedy-drama Entitled, starring Fleabag’s Brett Gelman.
In the eight-part series, he plays Gabe, a conniving American widower who posthumously must get to know his British wife’s eccentric estranged family in their crumbling gothic mansion in the English countryside.
The show, which is being shot in Manchester, was written by Matt Morgan, Russell Brand’s former collaborator whose other credits include Mister Winner and Murder in Successville.
Entitled is produced by Harry Williams, Jack Williams and Sarah Hammond, the creative team behind Fleabag, who say the dark comedy will ‘unravel our beliefs on privilege and prerogative, while delving into themes of grief, class, and greed’.
Also in the cast are Donald Sumpter, Brendan Patricks, Pippa Bennett-Warner, Mark Quartley, Jonathan Livingstone, Charlotte Louise Arrowsmith and Kelly Wenham.
The show, made by production company Two Brothers, will also air on Showtime in the US.
