Sex... with puppets
Katherine Ryan, London Hughes, Romesh Ranganathan and Mae Martin are taking part in a new Netflix puppet show… about sex.
The one-off, Sex: Unzipped, will be hosted by US rapper Saweetie and feature a ‘cast of sex positive puppets’ and is described as ‘Netflix's funniest, filthiest, and furriest new comedy special'.
The comics will discuss myths, misconceptions and their own experiences of the spectrum of sex and sexualities.
It will also feature US comics Michelle Buteau, Nikki Glaser, Sam Jay, Joel Kim Booster and Ian Karmel, plus drag queen Trixie Mattel, transgender actress Dominique Jackson and a raft of sex experts.
Sex: Unzipped is being made by British production house Fulwell 73, whose partners include James Corden and brothers Ben and Gabe Turner, who are executive producers here.
The showrunner is Spencer Millman, who previous production credits include Mighty Boosh, Harry Hill’s TV Burp, Man Down and The Inbetweeners 2, while its writers are former Chortle Student Comedy Award winner Erika Ehler, Steve Parry and Nico Tatarowicz.
Sex: Unzipped will premiere globally on Netflix on October 26.
