Now with Alex Brooker and Josh Widdicombe after success of the Hamley's one-off

Alex Brooker and Josh Widdicombe are to spend the  night unsupervised at some of the UK’s leading attractions in a new Channel 4 series.

One Night In… follows the success of a one-off filmed in Hamleys toy store in London, which featured Tom Allen, Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan. It attracted an audience of 2.7million when it aired in December, making it the channel’s highest rating new title of 2020.

Now the Last Leg duo will visit five more destinations – a theme park, a museum, a zoo, a historic landmark and a department store – one of which will air as a  Christmas special.

Each episode will also feature a special guest, who are yet to be named,

Executive producer Ruth Phillips said: ‘We can’t wait to let Alex, Josh and friends loose in some thoroughly exciting but empty, iconic locations, allowing them to roam free and muck about through the wee small hours without grown-ups interfering.

‘It promises to be a gleeful, escapist and above all funny show as the cast become the equivalent of mischievous kids in a sweet shop, who’ve overdone the sherbert dip-dabs.’

Channel 4 commissioning editor, Steve Handley, Entertainment adds: ‘Viewers will be invited to a charming peek at what we never normally see of famous British attractions and Josh and Alex’s friendship.
