Nobody Panic duo release a self-help guide
Stevie Martin and Tessa Coates have written a book based on their podcast Nobody Panic.
Publishers Hodder Studio describe the book, which is out on November 4, as ‘an hilarious instruction manual for modern life'.
It adds: ‘Nobody Panic is a How To guide for anyone who has absolutely no idea what they’re doing. From job interviews to DIY, how to leave a WhatsApp group to how to understand the oven, Nobody Panic truly has you covered.’
In a statement, the comedians – who launched their podcast in 2018 – said: ‘This is a book for anyone who's ever cried on a bus, crouched in a train station looking for a debit card in a bag with a broken zip and an exploded yogurt, or ever felt like they'd missed out on a manual that everyone else seems to have read
‘We spent our twenties making one mistake after another, so we had a go at writing that manual! Except instead of a manual it features a poem about tax and a play about how to ask for a pay rise - because we believe it's possible to laugh and learn for god's sake.’
The pair are two-thirds of the comedy sketch group Massive Dad, alongside Liz Kingsman, and between them have appeared in TV shows including Rose Matafeo’s Starstruck, Mae Martin’s Feel Good and Birds Of A Feather.
Martin won a Chortle Award earlier this year for her output during lockdown, including video sketches made with Lola-Rose Maxwell, her improvised Book Club, podcasts and social media posts.
