Greenwich Comedy Festival announces 2021 line-up
The line-up for this year’s Greenwich Comedy Festival has been announced with the likes of Tom Allen, Dara O’Briain, Sara Pascoe and Nish Kumar heading to South London.
Although coronavirus restrictions should have been long relaxed by the time the event comes around int Septmber, organisers Will Briggs and Cass Randolph are taking no chances.
The shows will again take place on at outdoor stage in the grounds of the National Maritime Museum, and tickets will be sold in multiples of two, in case social distancing has to be enforced.
Briggs and Randolph – step-children of the infamous comedy promoter and exhibitionist Malcolm Hardee - started the festival in 2009 and have since gone on to produce similar events in Bristol and Brighton.
They said: ‘Everything started for us in Greenwich.. We have since branched out to other locations across the UK, but Greenwich will always be our home.’
Other stars playing this year’s event, from September 15 to 19, include Mae Martin, Phil Wang, Alan Davies, Reginald D Hunter, Tim Ke and Milton Jones.
