Phoebe Waller-Bridge joins new Indiana Jones film
Phoebe Waller-Bridge is to star in the new Indiana Jones film.
Disney has today announced that the Fleabag creator will appear alongside Harrison Ford in the fifth instalment of the franchise, which is due out in July next year.
Director James Mangold said: ‘I'm thrilled to be starting a new adventure, collaborating with a dream team of all-time great filmmakers
‘When you add Phoebe, a dazzling actor, brilliant creative voice and the chemistry she will undoubtedly bring to our set, I can't help but feel as lucky as Indiana Jones himself.’
The marks the third blockbuster film franchise Waller-Bridge has been involved with since breaking through with her her BBC comedy, which started life at the Edinburgh Fringe.
She also appeared in Solo: A Star Wars Story in 2018 and is one of the writers on the upcoming James Bond adventure No Time to Die.
Disney also announced today that John Williams will return to score the new Indiana Jones film.
