Britain's Got Talent comics go on tour
The three comedians who made the final of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent final have all announced 2021 tours.
Winner Jon Courtney, juggler Steve Royle and Nabil Abdulrashid – whose Black Lives Matter-inspired routines attracted 3,000 complaints to regulator Ofcom - will all be hitting the road next year.
Abdulrashid is the latest to announce his dates, with his show N.A.B.I.L. (Nobody Actually Believed I'd Last) going on sale from 10am today.
He has 18 gigs in the autumn, starting in Poole on September 19 and winding up in Eastbourne on October 28. The full schedule, with ticket links, is here.
The (Steve) Royle Variety Performance tour comprises 25 dates, also all in the autumn except for one date at the Lowry in Salford in February.
As well as his success on BGT – where Simon Cowell called him ‘naturally funny’ – Royle previously appeared on Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights and was part of the 2015 live show at the Manchester Arena. He has has been a long-term circuit stalwart. His tour listings are here.
Meanwhile, musical comic Courtney promises ‘a soundtrack including all his Britain’s Got Talent songs and music spanning the classics to rock n roll’ in his show, What’s It All About.
He has decades of experiences, especially on cruise liners and corporate gigs, before his BGT success. On the talent show, Cowell told him: ‘You are someone who has worked hard for years and needs a break and I’m sure you will get a huge reaction from this, I promise you.’
His tour dates, again primarily in the autumn, are here.
