It's a Christmas angle!
Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse have made a special Christmas episode of their fishing show.
The hour-long episode has today been revealed as part of BBC Two’s festive line-up, which also includes a documentary marking 16 years of Live At The Apollo as well as Christmas specials of Upstart Crow, Motherland and Two Doors Down.
Frankie Boyle will also round up the year’s events in a New World Order special while, as previously announced, Victoria Wood is celebrated in a run-down of her favourite sketches.
In Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Christmas Fishing, the pair return to Bob’s childhood roots in Middlesbrough where he will fish the River Esk and Tees
As well as trying to catch the challenging grayling, Mortimer tries to ignite the joy of Christmas in Whitehouse, who thinks the magic of the season has been lost to commercialism.
Mortimer will host their ‘office party for two’, help cook a Christmas dinner and meet fellow Middlesbrough lad Chris Rea, the musician behind Driving Home For Christmas,
The episode will air on December 13.
Also on BBC Two, a QI Christmas special will feature Chris McCausland, Justin Moorhouse and Holly Walsh alongside Alan Davies and Sandi Toksvig.

And in Two Doors Down, the neighbours on a rare trip away from Latimer Crescent in favour of a festive getaway at a luxury lodge in the Highlands.
