Comics sign up to nostalgic TV show

A raft of comedians are to take part in a new nostalgia show for BBC Two.

Ellie Taylor, Geoff Norcott, Dane Baptiste, Rachel Parris, Russell Kane, Nathan Caton and Chris Ramsey are among those reminiscing about the first decade of his county in The Noughties.

The ten-part series,  which starts on BBC Two on Wednesday  October 21, will be hosted by Angela Scanlon (pictured with Taylor and Norcott).

She said: 'I think the whole show is quite nostalgic... It brought me back to times when the most pressing thing on your to-do list was to read The Da Vinci Code and make sure that you were up to date.

'To me in 2020 when the news is literally apocalyptic, the idea of sitting down and being like, "What’s on the soaps?" is like watching This Morning at ten o’clock at night. It feels quite joyful and innocent and lovely.'
