Tuesday July 7

THIS COUNTRY: Dave repeats Charlie and Daisy May Cooper’s acclaimed mockumentary series about the slow life in a Cotswolds village from the very start, with a string of double bills. The real-life siblings play feckless cousins Kerry and Lee ‘Kurtan’ Mucklowe who live in the picturesque but depressingly dull, village of Northleach. As they fritter away their days in the most pointless ways possible, they push their friendship to breaking point by constantly winding each other up. Dave, 10pm

AL MURRAY’S GREAT BRITISH PUB QUIZ: Originally made for the Quest channel, the comic’s quiz, featuring real pub teams, sidekick Shaun Williamson and guest captains (Phill Jupitus and Kerry Godliman in episode one) comes to Comedy Central. Comedy Central, 9pm

THERE SHE GOES: The comedy-drama about two parents (David Tennant and Jessica Hynes), bringing up severely learning disabled Rosie (Miley Locke) returns to BBC Two. In the first episode, Rosie starts to say the word ‘mama’, raising hopes that her communication might finally take off. Read interviews with the stars and writers here BBC Two, 9.30pm

FAMALAM: BBC Three’s black-led sketch series, starring Vivienne Acheampong, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Samson Kayo, John Macmillan, Tom Moutchi and Roxanne Sternberg, lands on Dave for the first time. Dave, 10pm

REINCARNATHAN: Back for a second series, ReincarNathan continues the adventures of Nathan (Daniel Rigby), a failed pop star who has died and been reincarnated. In each episode he is brought back as a different animal, but he never learns to do the right thing. Diane Morgan co-stars in the show, written by Tom Craine and Henry Paker, while guests this series include Romesh Ranganathan, James Acaster, Sally Phillips, Daniel Lawrence Taylor and Phil Wang. Radio 4, 6.30pm.

THE GOOD PLACE: If you haven’t already caught this excellent, surprisingly philosophical US comedy on Netflix, the penultimate third series begins on E4 tonight. Kristen Bell, William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, D'Arcy Carden, Manny Jacinto, Ted Danson flit between heaven and hell. E4. 10pm

GET SHORTY: Chris O’Dowd and Ray Romano return in the third series of the darkly comic drama about a gangster-turned-movie producer.Sky Atlantic, 9pm
