Stephen Bailey to host Takeshi’s Castle
Stephen Bailey is to host the next series of Takeshi’s Castle.
The stand-up follows in the footsteps of Jonathan Ross, Guz Khan and Capital Radio DJ Roman Kemp in commentating on the assault course challenge,
Bailey will be joined by two celebrity guests every week when the Indonesian show returns to Comedy Central – with the broadcaster favouring reality stars such as Joey Essex, Scarlett Moffatt and Charlotte Dawson over comedians.
Bailey has previously hosted Celebs In The Farm and Celebs On The Ranch for Comedy Central’s sister station Channel 5, while other appearances include Live At The Apollo, Celebrity Mastermind and Zoe Ball’s ITV series, where he was resident agony uncle.
He and fellow comic Brennan Reece have also been commissioned to make a series of lockdown shorts for Comedy Central, with the first dropping yesterday:
Takeshi’s Castle will be stripped over five consecutive nights at 11pm, with two episodes nightly. The full guest roster is:
Monday June 8: Chris Kamara and Joey Essex
Tuesday June 9: Scarlett Moffatt and Basil Brush
Wednesday June 10: Chris Kamara and Judi Love
Thursday June 11: Joey Essex and Charlotte Dawson
Friday June 12: Matt Richardson and Ollie Locke
