Mat Ewins and John Kearns's new improvised podcast in which inquisitor Ewins some of the world's biggest mysteries launched yesterday with the supernatural story of a small chain of obscure theme parks that have been overrun with ghosts. Future episodes will feature a farmer kidnapped by penguins and a gym that's been infiltrated by wizards Microscope, which is recorded in front of a live audience, is available on Apple Podcasts, Acast and Spotify.

Mistress America

New on Netflix is this critically acclaimed 2015 comedy film directed by Noah Baumbach, who wrote it with his partner, the Little Women director Greta Gerwig, who also stars as a Manhattan sophisticate who takes an anxious newcomer to the city under her wing. In a five-star write-up the Guardian called it 'a hilarious and hectic picture' on the themes of 'life crises and tragicomic delusions'. Watch here.

Meanwhile,Baumbach's earlier film, 2005's The Squid And The Whale, has also been released on Amazon Prime, telling of a teenager whose writer-parents – played by Jeff Daniels and Laura Linney – are divorcing.

The Secret Artist

In the last episode of this podcast series, host Annie McGrath as joined by Joel Dommett and his fashion model wife Hannah Cooper for a three-way life drawing session… though they all kept their undies on. Other guests over the series, who all created artwork while having a chat, included Phil Wang, Katy Wix, Alex Horne and  Lolly Adefope.
