Comic to front new BBC One talent hunt

Chris Ramsey is to host a major new BBC One entertainment show.

The comic, who reached the semi-finals of Strictly Come Dancing, will be fronting the musical talent hunt  Little Mix The Search this spring.

In the show Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock will be seeking singers to join bands, and be mentored by their vocal coaches, song writers and producers. The winner will join Little Mix on tour.

Ramsey  said: ‘Since the moment I heard their first single, I knew I wanted to be the fifth member of Little Mix... sadly it looks like I’m going to have to settle for just hosting their new show with them.’

And in a statement, Little Mix called the comic ‘one of the funniest people we know’ who will ‘bring loads of his South Shields charm to the show’.
