Aziz Ansari up for a Grammy

For the stand-up special addressing his sexual conduct

Aziz Ansari has been nominated for a Grammy Award for the show talking about the sexual misconduct storm that engulfed him.

In his Netflix special Right Now the American comedian addressed his post-#MeToo behaviour, which was characterised as creepy and uncomfortable in a notorious online article from a woman he went on a date with.

Today the audio recording of that show has made the shortlist in the comedy category of the Grammy awards, the biggest prizes in music and audio.

Also in the running are Jim Gaffigan for Quality Time; Ellen DeGeneres for Relatable; Trevor Noah for Son of Patricia; and Dave Chappelle for Sticks and Stones

The winners will be announced on January 26 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
