Earlier in the week, he posted the first picture from the series, with his character Tony Johnson alongside dog Brandy and his late wife Lisa, played by Kerry Godliman. She is seen in flashback in the series as Tony grieves her death.
In the first series, the character contemplates suicide, before deciding that he can now say and do whatever he wants as he’s nothing left to live for, considering it a ‘superpower’.
At the end of the season, Tony had something of a redemption, saying in a graveyard speech: ‘I’m going to carry on saying and doing what I want and punishing the world, but I’m going to punish people who deserve it. I’m going to use my superpower for good.’
The second series will also see the return of Ashley Jensen, Roisin Conaty, Diane Morgan, Tony Way, Mandeep Dhillon, David Bradley, Tom Basden, Penelope Wilton and Paul Kaye to the cast.
