Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith in celebrity special

Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith are to appear on Channel 4’s Gogglebox.

The Inside No 9 creators will be passing comment on the week’s broadcasting for a Stand Up To Cancer special airing at 9pm this Friday.

In a statement, the pair said: 'We are big Gogglebox fans and couldn’t be more chuffed to be on the sofa together. 

‘We have slightly questionable telly tastes but as it’s for an amazing cause like Stand Up To Cancer, hopefully the viewers will let it slide. Cancer affects way too many of us and we need to pull together and put a stop to it.’

They will appear  alongside regular Gogglebox households.
