Netflix orders a seventh and final season

Netflix comedy Grace and Frankie is to come to an end after its seventh series.

The streaming giant has just ordered the final run of 16 episodes for the Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin comedy.

It will bring the total number of episodes up to 94 and  will make the show the platform’s longest-running original programme.

The news, reported on Deadline, comes four months before the sixth series airs.

Co-stars Sam Waterston, Martin Sheen, June Diane Raphael, Brooklyn Decker, Baron Vaughn and Ethan Embry will all return.
