Free hotel rooms for comedians
Budget hotel chain easyHotel is offering 100 free overnight stays to up-and-coming stand-ups.
Sites in London’s Old Street, Milton Keynes, Sheffield, Leeds, Ipswich, Newcastle, Birmingham, Manchester and Croydon are each allocating an initial ten free nights’ accommodation to comics in need.
The company’s Neil Fidler said: ‘Comedians improve our lives on a daily basis, and this is our way of thanking them for all the laughs and the hard graft of touring the UK. After a tiring set, they can relax with a comfortable night’s sleep in one of our hotels.’
To apply for a free room, comics should email a link or picture of the flyer from their local show featuring their name, the date of their gig and the venue or the online link to liedownstandup@easyhotel.com.
The offer includes some of easyHotel’s four-poster bedrooms – so named because they each of contain four inspirational posters.
