Russian Doll gets a second series
Black comedy series Russian Doll is returning to Netflix.
Star Natasha Lyonne has confirmed that the streaming giant has given the green light to a second series of the show, in which she was forced to relive the same day again and again.
In a nod to a recurring scene in the series, the actress announced the news with a video of herself in a bathroom as Harry Nilsson’s Gotta Get Up plays.

Lyonne – who also starred in Orange Is The New Black – created the series with Amy Poehler and Leslye Headland.
She also spoke about the commission at the Code Conference for programmers in Arizona yesterday, where she said it would be the ‘same show, just weirder’.
Season one launched February to widespread acclaim, attracting a 96 per cent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Here is our review.
It also starred Greta Lee, Yul Vazquez, Elizabeth Ashley, and Charlie Barnett.
