Jack Whitehall to host the Graham Norton show
Jack Whitehall is to host The Graham Norton Show later this month.
This will be the first time in Norton’s 20 years as a talk show host that he has missed a show. – as he will be in Tel Aviv to prepare for the Eurovision Song Contest final the following night.
Whitehall said: ‘I was so honoured Graham asked me to do this for him. The thought of stepping into his huge showbiz boots fills me in equal measure with fear and excitement. Worst case, I will make everyone appreciate just how lucky we are to have him.’
Norton added: ‘I’m thrilled to know that I am leaving the show in Jack’s capable hands. He is bound to do an amazing job. I should warn him not to get too comfortable in my chair, though, because like a slightly fey terminator, I’ll be back.’
Whitehall will host the show on May 17, when the guests will include Beauty and the Beast actor Luke Evans, singer Paloma Faith and Game Of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie.
Norton himself got his big break as a chat-show host when he stood in for Jack Docherty on his Channel 5 chat show in the late 1990s.
