Coming soon: Meghan Markle in a sex comedy

Distributor buys the rights to previously unseen pilot

A pilot of a raunchy party comedy from Meghan Markle’s past is set to be released almost a decade after it was made.

The Duchess of Sussex made The Boys And Girls Guide To Getting Down in 2011 as a possible Comedy Central series before landing her career-defining role on Suits – but it never saw the light of day.

However according to co-star Max Greenfield, who went on to play Schmidt in New Girl, someone has purchased the rights to air the previously unseen programme.

He told James Corden on The Late Late Show: ‘I got some sort of email recently saying, "This person has bought it and they’re putting it out" and I was like, "Great, good for you".

‘I would assume they have their reasons to why they’re putting it out.'

Greenfield did not disclose where it might be aired, but last month it was reported that Artist Rights Distribution, an independent Los Angeles company, had secured the rights for North America.

Described as a ‘tongue-in-cheek look at twenty-something singles clubbing and partying in Los Angeles’ the project was a remake of an award-winning 2006 film of the same name, which did not feature Markle or Greenfield.

It mixed scenes of researchers explaining animal behaviour with the antics of Californian youngsters on a night out.

A trailer online features one scene in which a woman says: ‘This bikini’s too tight’ before apparently removing the top. In another, a drunk mouse is seen driving a car:
