Aisling Bea quits 8 Out Of 10 Cats
Aisling Bea is standing down as a team captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats.
The E4 panel show returns for its 21st series of ten 40-minutes episodes later this month, with Jimmy Carr again hosting.
Rob Beckett returns for his third season as team captain, but the opposing team will be led by a different comic each week, with Bea among them.
Other guest captains include Katherine Ryan, Sara Pascoe, Kerry Godliman, Tom Allen and Roisin Conaty.
Carr said: ‘I’m really excited that 8 Out of 10 Cats is returning to E4. What Britain needs now more than ever, is a panel show about surveys and statistics. Well, that and six months’ supply of food and medicine.’
Beckett added: This is my third series now and will hopefully be the one where my dad stops calling it 9 Out of 10 Cats.’
He took over from Sean Lock, while the opposing team has been hosted by Dave Spikey, Jason Manford and Jon Richardson.
Bea is about to star alongside Sharon Horgan in Channel 4 comedy This Way Up (originally titled) Happy AF, which she also wrote, and alongside Paul Rudd in Living With Yourself for Netflix.
She also made the gossip columns today after attending a performance of Hamilton in London with Amazing Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield.
