Part of his first tour since the #metoo controversy

Aziz Ansari has announced four dates in London, Manchester and Dublin later this year.

The comic behind the acclaimed Netflix series Master Of None will be at Dublin’s Vicar Street on March 31, the Manchester Apollo on April 1, the Hammersmith Eventim Apollo on April 3 and the Royal Albert Hall on April 4.

The dates come as part of his first tour since being embroiled in a #metoo controversy when a woman accused him of sexual misconduct, suggesting he was too forceful on a bad date.

 In an article on the Babe website she said she felt close to being ‘sexually assaulted’ back in his apartment, but the comic said he was surprised to hear she had felt violated.

At the time he added: ‘I took her words to heart and responded privately after taking the time to process what she had said.  continue to support the movement that is happening in our culture. It is necessary and long overdue.’

Ansari has been trying out new material in clubs, including some in London last year, ahead of his Road to Nowhere tour which kicks off  n Boston on February 6.

His UK and Ireland dates are part of a European leg that also takes in Amsterdam, Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Berlin and Paris,

Tickets will go on sale this Friday.
