Short run of her sketch show in January

Catherine Tate is to return to the West End with her live sketch show.

The comedian has announced seven shows at London’s Wyndham’s Theatre from January 7.

She originally toured the UK with The Catherine Tate Show Live in 2016, and has recently returned from a  tour of Australia and New Zealand.

The show features the best-known characters from her BBC series, including 'Nan' Taylor; Irish nurse Bernie; Geordie Georgie; Essex girl Sam and argumentative teenager Lauren.

She said: ‘I’m excited and delighted to be bringing the show to the West End.’

But in character as  Nan, she added: ‘The Catherine Tate Show Live? What a load of old shit!"’
