Another musical role for Jason Manford

Comic to star in Guys and Dolls at the Royal Albert Hall

Jason Manford is to star in a new production of Guys and Dolls at London’s Royal Albert Hall this October.

The comic will be playing the key role of Nathan Detroit, who runs an illegal floating crap game, in the ‘semi-staged concert’ version of Frank Loesser’s musical comedy.

Music will be provided with by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and the cast also includes Adrian Lester, cabaret artist Meow Meow and Clive Rowe, who will be reprising his role of Nicely-Nicely Johnson, for which he won an Olivier Award in 1997.

Manford – who has previously appeared in Sweeney Todd, The Producers and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang – said he ‘couldn’t be more excited to be starring in this classic musical’

The show is on October 19 and 20 – just before Jon Stewart and Dave Chapelle play the same venue.
