LONDON: Saturday Night Live staff writer Julio Torres begins a week-long run at the Soho Theatre of his show My Favourite Shapes, which he performed at the Edinburgh Fringe last year. It features the comedian sitting behind a table with a collection of trinkets, a camera showing the view of the table top. Read our review here.

EDINBURGH: The Barnardo's Big Comedy Benefit has raised more than £44,000 since it began. And this year's line-up at the EICC from 8.30pm. Includes Russell Howard, Lost Voice Guy Lee Ridley, Jo Caulfield, Tape Face, Pete Firman, David O'Doherty, Noise Next Door and Zoe Lyons. Ridley said: 'Barnados give a voice to kids who don't have one, and boy do I know that feeling.'
Saturday August 11
TORQUAY: No contest for the non-Edinburgh comedy news of the week - the League Of Gentlemen are on the road again, kicking off their first UK tour in more than 12 years, at the Princes Theatre, following their successful TV comeback at Christmas. Tubbs Tattsyrup said: 'I'm so eccited to take my preshus things on tour agen I did a little brown fish!' The full schedule is here.
