Comic wins lawsuit over claims he masterminded Manchester bombing

Neo-Nazi framed him with fake tweets

An Arab-American  comedian has won a lawsuit against a neo-Nazi who claimed he masterminded the Manchester terror attack.

Andrew Anglin faked tweets, purporting to be from Dean Obeidallah in which he ‘confessed’ to masterminding the May 2017  bombing of the Ariana Grande concert that left 23 people dead and 250 people injured.

Obeidallah sued for libel, invasion of privacy, infliction of emotional distress and conspiracy for the article, posted on Anglin’s neo-Nazi website The Daily Stormer.

The fake story prompted death threats against Obeidallah, who is a regular contributor to CNN.

A court in Columbus, Ohio, found against Anglin after he did not show up in court to defend himself, US media reports, but did not set damages.
