Bill Bailey, Adrian Edmondson, Phill Jupitus and more

Bill Bailey, Adrian Edmondson and Phill Jupitus are to lend their voices to an animated family movie.

They are among the cast making a new English-language version of The Big Bad Fox And Other Tales, released in French as  Le Grand Méchant Renard Et Autres Contes last year.

Also voicing characters are comedian Justin Edwards, best known for playing Ben Swain in The Thick Of It, Celia Imrie, Downton Abbey’s Matthew Goode .

Set on a farmyard, the anthology movie tells of  fox who mothers a family of chicks, a rabbit who plays a stork, and a duck who wants to be Santa Claus.

Studio GKids say the film has the ‘pacing and visual spontaneity that harkens back to classic Looney Tunes shorts and slapstick two-reelers’

It is directed by Patrick Imbert and Benjamin Renner, who wrote the kids’ graphic novel the film is based on, and will be released in the UK later this year.
