Noel Fielding is such an angel...
Noel Fielding is to play a dying angel in a new short film on Channel 4.
The Mighty Boosh comic stars in Swansong, which will air as part of the new Random Acts strand kicking off next month.
His film, directed by Joseph Lynn, will air late at night on July 24.
Another short in the series – to air on August 7 - features TV favourite Bernard Cribbins on a psychedelic trip with woodland creatures.
Meanwhile Adam Buxton is to appear in another of the Random Acts in the yet-to-be-announced autumn season, although details of his film are being kept under wraps.
Hosted by Zawe Ashton, best known as Vod from Fresh Meat, the strand showcases new talent and experimental work from more established names.
Commissioning editor Catherine Bray said: "Random Acts has a rich track record of working with some of the most ground-breaking artist-filmmakers in the world, and it's been inspiring to take that creative legacy and help ensure that the films are also being seen on the scale that they deserve by a young audience who - in many cases - subsequently pitch their own films to us, which is an incredibly exciting response to the work.’
The summer season kicks off on July 17.
