Iain Stirling writes his first book
Iain Stirling has written his first book, Not Ready To Adult Yet.
The title has been officially announced today to coincide with the start of the fourth series of ITV2’s Love Island, for which the Scottish comic provides the distinctive voiceover.
To be published on August 23, the book promises to explore the lot of millennials like himself, and whether they are ‘self-obsessed, work-shy, mollycoddled, egomaniacs; or just a misunderstood generation with a crippling fear of failure’.
Publishers Harper Collins add: ‘Funny, provocative and full of his trademark razor-sharp wit, this is Iain’s guide to what life is really like for millennials and how they can navigate it better.’
Stirling is to launch a weekly podcast in which he talks to friends, fellow comics and his mum about the theme of the book later this week.
He is also performing for three nights as part of the Edinburgh Fringe to coincide with the launch of the book, with shows entitled Iain (Stirling) Does Jokes (With Pals) at the EICC. He will then hit the road for 24 further dates of his tour show U Ok Hun? X (Schedule)
Not Ready To Adult Yet – subtitled A Totally Ill-informed Guide to Life – will be priced £16.99, but click here to preorder from Amazon for £11.89
