With Tig Notaro as her wife

Jennifer Aniston is set to play the first lesbian President of the United States – with comic Tig Notaro as her wife.

Notaro is writing the script of the political comedy movie First Ladies with her own wife, Stephanie Allynne.

The film will be released by Netflix, which gave the tag line: ‘When Beverly and Kasey Nicholson move into the White House, they’ll prove that behind every great woman... is another great woman.’

Will Ferrell is among the executive producers alongside Aniston, Notaro, Allynne and others.

Notaro previously starred in the semi-autobiographical comedy One Mississippi for Amazon.

But after that show was axed she had forged a new relationship with Netflix.  Her stand-up special Happy to Be Here will be released by the streaming service on Wednesday and she will also direct Ellen DeGeneres' upcoming Netflix special.
