After Life heads to Netflix

Netflix has officially confirmed Ricky Gervais’s new series, After Life.

The comedian has often spoken about the six-part series includ8g a tweet earlier this week in which he said: ‘I start pre production on my new Netflix show tomorrow. 

‘It's a 6 part, dark comedy, in which I play a man who, after the death of his wife, becomes suicidal but decides to live long enough to punish the world by saying and doing whatever the fuck he likes from now on.’

He is directing and writing the series as well as starring.

Netflix previously distributed Gervais’s movies David Brent:Life On The Road and Special Correspondents as well as his Humanity stand-up special. They also have the rights to his next live show SuperNature.
