Show attracts its biggest ever audience

Last night’s Taskmaster attracted the biggest audience in the show’s history.

The opening episode of series six attracted 778,000 viewers – and was watched by more 25-34-year-olds than any other channel at 9pm

Contestants being given stupid challenges by Greg Davies and Alex Horne in the current season are Alice Levine, Asim Chaudhry, Liza Tarbuck, Russell Howard and Tim Vine.

Also last night, series ten of ITV’s Benidorm ended with 3.3 million viewers, well down from the more than 8million it attracted at its peak

It has been reported that last night’s instalment could be the final ever episode of the Costa-based comedy, although creator Derren Litten has suggested that isn’t the case and the broadcaster has insisted no decision has yet been made.
