The Wrong Mans gets a US remake
James Corden’s comedy thriller The Wrong Mans is to get a US remake.
Ben Schwartz, who played Jean-Ralphio Saperstein on the sitcom Parks and Recreation, will star in a pilot being made for the Showtime cable channel.
Corden created the original BBC Two show with his co-star Matthew Baynton. Now American writer Ian Maxtone-Graham – who has worked on Veep – has been brought in to help adapt the scripts.
Original director Jim Field Smith will shoot the remakes with Corden as one of the executive producers, along with Star Wars director JJ Abrams, whose company Bad Robot Productions, is being the remake.
The 2013 original and its two-part sequel were made as a co-production with US on-demand service Hulu.
