Lee Mack to curate The Museum of Curiosity
Lee Mack is to be the next curator of The Museum of Curiosity.
The Not Going Our star will join host John Lloyd for six new recordings at the BBC Radio Theatre and The Tabernacle, Notting Hill, both in London, in May and June. The programmes, in which guests suggests exhibits for a fictional, infinite museum, will air from October.
Mack said: ‘I am very excited about curating The Museum Of Curiosity, and in particular the opportunity to work with the great John Hardress Wilfred Lloyd CBE. I will be constantly referring to him by this name, and hopefully he will be as equally respectful and address me by my full title of Lee Mack (BA Hons). Although it was a degree in Film and Television, which is one step below Media Studies.’
Lloyd added: ‘Lee Mack is one of my all-time favourite comics – and one of the smartest, quickest-witted people it has ever been my privilege to work with.’
The Museum of Curiosity first aired in 2008 and won the 2016 Rose D’Or for Best Talk Show. Recent curators have included Jo Brand, Noel Fielding, Sarah Millican and Romesh Ranganathan.
