Judges DO like Pls Like
Pls Like, the BBC Three series starring Liam Williams as a would-be social media star, has been nominated for its second award in a week.
Following on from its Bafta nod for best short-form programme on Wednesday, the show has now been shortlisted for a Rocky Award at the Banff international TV festival in Canada.
It is up for best digital fiction series, alongside US programmes The 5th Quarter and Mr. Student Body President, and Android Employed and How To Buy A Baby from Canada.
Tim Key, Jon Pointing and Emma Sidi also starred in the six 15-minute episodes, which were written by Williams,
However, no British show was shortlisted in the striped comedy category. The nominees for English-language shows are The Goldbergs, Black-ish and its spin-off Grown-ish from America and Canada’s Kim's Convenience and Schitt's Creek.
Winners are announced in June.
