Comic back on the road after quadruple bypass

Jasper Carrott has got back on the road following his quadruple heart bypass last year.

Medics have given the 73-year-old comedian the all-clear to resume his Stand Up and Rock tour.

Dates were pulled when he was taken ill last summer, but has now rescheduled the dates, starting with a gig at the  Britannia Pier Theatre in Great Yarmouth.

In a video posted online, he told fans: ‘I’m back after a very serious heart operation last year, I’ve had the all-clear. I’m back on the road with my mates. 

‘Sorry for all the trouble, but I’m really looking forward to seeing you.'

His daughter, The Office actress Lucy Davis, posted online: ‘Dad’s back on tour after his quad bypass last year. Proud of him.’
