Royal Albert Hall to host Porno

'The largest podcast gig in history'

The team behind the My Dad Wrote A Porno podcasts have announced a gig at the Royal Albert Hall.

Their show at the 5,200-capacity venue on June 21 is being billed as ‘the largest podcast gig in history’.

It follows a show at the 2,900-seat Royal Festival Hall on London’s South Bank which sold out immediately, as part of a UK tour which kicks off later this month.

The podcast revolves around a dirty book that Jamie Morton’s father wrote. On the stage of the imposing Victorian venue, best known for its elegant classical music concerts, Morton and his best mates James Cooper and Radio 1 DJ Alice Levine will read a ‘lost chapter' from the Belinda Blinked saga.

Their tour also includes US dates, with a third New York City Town Hall show just added.

Series four of the podcast will be released later this year and TV and even a movie adaptation are being developed.

Tickets for the Albert Hall gig go on sale at 9am tomorrow.
