Chortle Student Comedy Award 2018

Competition now open!

Entries have now closed for this year’s Chortle Student Comedy Award.

We will be visiting 12 universities from Aberdeen to Cardiff, Salford to Southampton, to seek out the best new student talent, kicking off in Warwick university on February 22.

Over the past 14 years of the competition, finalists have included Joe Lycett, Iain Stirling, Simon Bird, Chris Ramsey, Adam Hess, Phil Wang, Tom Rosenthal, Lauren Pattison and Ed Gamble.

Unless otherwise stated, all shows start at 8pm with doors at 7.30pm, with tickets priced £3 for students and £5 for everyone else. Tickets will be available on the door.

This is a gig that won't be open to the public, and is an extra step before the heats. If we are oversubscribed, especially for the main London heat, newer acts will be invited to perform three minutes here to earn a place in that show.
